The chemicals regulation REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation of Chemicals) has
regulated chemicals legislation in the EU since June 1st, 2007. The Regulation aims to improve
the protection of human health and the environment from the risks that can be posed by
chemicals. HIMAX naturally complies fully with the obligations that stem from the objectives of
REACH and its implementation. As a manufacturer and exporter outside of Europe, we are also
obliged to assess risk. Protecting human health and the environment is certainly our objective too.
Particularly in the case of products that come into contact with skin – including personal protective
equipment – HIMAX is subject to stringent criteria, which strictly follows EU Directives in terms of
product safety and environmental compatibility. All the products we offer are free of harmful
substances and harm neither the user nor the environment.
